My coordinator teacher is Mrs. Maria Teresa B. Oseraos, she is one of the Mathematics teachers at USANT Middle School, she teaches in class 9. And handles 5 classes every day, the first is the Almond, Acacia, Gold SSC, Bismuth, and Agoho classes. Because here I will replace Mam Oseraos to teach, then I will also handle the 5 classes.
Planning Teaching
The teacher manually makes lesson plans. Before he teaches the class, he ensures that the lesson plan is done before teaching because in doing the lesson plan, it includes planning what he will teach and how he will teach them. Learning plans are also based on the curriculum they have. The teacher must make a lesson plan for a week or for all topics. Because one topic can usually be done in one week. The teacher cannot teach a class if he does not have a lesson plan. The lesson plan is a semi-detail lesson plan
Preparing Lessons and Materials
The teacher prepares teaching materials gradually and differently. Within 1-3 days, the teacher only uses book references. The topic taught here is proportion. On day 4, the teacher starts making learning media such as colorful paper that shows the proportions between plane. That is, the teacher makes gradual teaching materials. This is done so that students understand more deeply the material that has been given on the first-third day. Teaching materials used are not the only plane of colorful paper but also sometimes use powerpoint slides.
Teaching in Class
The learning approach used by teachers is a student-centered approach. He also usually uses the lecture method and uses other methods such as discussion and question and answer. When a class operates with student-centered instruction, students and instructors share the focus. Instead of listening to the teacher exclusively, students and teachers interact in the same way. Group work is encouraged, and students learn to collaborate and communicate with each other. Mam Oseraos also always associates mathematics into everyday life so that students are not saturated. Mam Oseraos also always helps students who cannot understand the material.
Measurement and Evaluation
The teacher usually evaluates at the end of the topics done. The teacher using question and answer method in teaching the class. She also gave an assignment at the end of classes, if the time is enough it should be submitted on that day but if the time is not enough, it will be submitted on the next meeting. Every chapter that the students finish it will be a quiz for the next meeting before continued the next chapter.
